Q.

How do I print a label?

To print labels, click on the product that you would like to print a label for. Then click the Print Label button.

How do I print labels for multiple items?

To print labels for multiple items, click the checkbox next to the products that you would like to print labels for. Then click the Print Selected button.

Click Print Labels to confirm that you would like to print multiple labels.

How do I add products from within Shopify?

To add products from within Shopify, navigate to the Products page then select the items that you would like to add.

Click Actions from the menu, then click Print Labels.

How do I add products from within the SKU Print app?

To add products from within the SKU Print app, click the Add Products button on the top menu.

Click the items that you would like to add, then click the Add Items to Print Queue button.

How do I assign barcode numbers?

To assign barcode numbers, Click the Assign dropdown menu next to the item then click Auto Assign.

How do I assign barcode numbers to multiple products?

To assign barcode numbers to multiple products, select the item by clicking the checkbox next to the item.

Then click the Selected dropdown menu. Click the Assign Barcode Numbers item.

Click the Set Barcodes button to confirm that you would like to set barcodes for multiple products.

How do I manually change a barcode number?

To assign barcode numbers manually, Set the cursor on the text field for the item that you would like to assign a barcode to.

Enter a new number into the field then click the Assign dropdown menu. Next click Manually Assign.

What type of printer is required for SKU Print?

SKU Print requires a DYMO LabelWriter Series label printer.

Supported printers include: Dymo LabelWriter 450, Dymo LabelWriter 450 Turbo, Dymo LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo, Dymo LabelWriter 450 Duo, Dymo LabelWriter 450 4XL, Dymo LabelWriter SE450, and Dymo LabelWriter Wireless.

What type of labels can be used with SKU Print?

SKU Print support the following label types:

30336, 20252, 30334, 30323, 30321, 30256, 99019, 30327, 30277, 30258, 30326, 30332, 30333, 30325, 30370, 30339, 30374, 30373, 30299, 30345, 30346, 30347, and 1744907.

How do I install the DYMO Label Web Service?

The installer can be downloaded directly from Dymo You can find the installer at the following locations:

How can I tell if I have DYMO Label Web Service installed?

The DYMO Label Web Service is a component of the DYMO Label application. The Web service component will be installed automatically as long as you have installed DYMO Label using the Express Mode option.

If you choose to install DYMO Label Software in Custom Mode, be sure to select the DYMO Label Web Service component.

Q.

How can I tell if the DYMO Label Web Service is running?

The DLS application icon can be found on the system tray. Right-click the DYMO icon to display the context menu. The menu displays the web service’s status. If the status is Stopped, click on the Start Service item. The service will start immediately.

To test the service, navigate to the Printer Diagnostics page within SKU Print. Click the Test Dymo Service button to perform the test.

How do I select a new layout or template?

To select a new layout, Click on the LAYOUTS button located on the right side of the screen. Then click on the Create a new Layout item under the saved layouts section.

Next, click on the desired layout under the CHOOSE FROM A TEMPLATE section. Enter a name for the new layout.

Click Print Labels to try out the new template. You can also click Continue Editing to make changes to the layout.

How do I create a blank layout?

To start fresh with a blank layout, click on the Layouts button located on the right side of the screen. Then click on the Create a new Layout item under the saved layouts section.

Select the desired label type from the dropdown menu on the “Start with a blank Layout” section then click the Use this Label button.

Enter a name for the new layout. After naming the layout, you can use the editor to customize the layout. Once you have customized the layout, click the Save Changes button.

After the layout is saved, Click the Print Labels button to return to the main app where you will be able to try out the new layout. To make additional changes, click the “Edit Layout” link located under the Current Layout section.

SKU Print can assign barcode numbers automatically from within the app. The barcode numbers generated with SKU Print will work on layouts with Code39 & UPC-E type barcodes. Below is a list of supported barcode types.


UPC-A UPC-E & EAN barcodes require the scanner to be programmed using the Barcode Program Sheet.

Recommended
Code128 Barcodes

Code128 is the preferred barcode type as it works great with all methods of scanning. This barcode type can be used for scanning with the CHS 7Ci barcode scanner, CHS 7Qi 2D barcode scanner, and IPAD cameras.

Code 39 barcodes do not require a specific number of digits. We recommend using six digits.

Recommended
Code39 Barcodes

Code39 works great with all methods of scanning but takes up more space. This barcode type can be used for scanning with the CHS 7Ci barcode scanner, CHS 7Qi 2D barcode scanner, and IPAD cameras.

Code 39 barcodes do not require a specific number of digits. We recommend using six digits.

Recommended
QR Code Barcodes

QR Code Barcodes can only be used with the CHS 7Qi 2D barcode scanner or compatible 2D scanners.

QR barcodes can be between 1 to 49 characters although it is possible to have well over 100 characters if the area is available. We recommend using six digits.

Not Recommended
UPC-E Barcodes

UPC-E barcodes can be used for scanning with the CHS 7Ci barcode scanner and the CHS 7Qi 2D barcode scanner. UPC-E barcodes must be exactly six digits.

UPC-E barcodes require the scanner to be programmed using the Barcode Program Sheet.

Not Recommended
UPC-A & EAN Barcodes

UPC-A & EAN barcodes are not recommended. If you need to print UPC-A & EAN barcodes, you must add the barcode numbers manually. UPC-A barcodes must contain exactly 10 digits and EAN barcodes must contain exactly 12 digits.

If you are using barcode numbers off of existing products, leave off the check digit. This digit will automatically be added back in when the label is printed.

UPC-A & EAN barcodes require the scanner to be programmed using the Barcode Program Sheet.
